The Dance Shoppe, located in Clinton, NC, was established in 1991 by Wanda Williamson Coleman. The Dance Shoppe is a non-competitive dance studio where "dance as an art" is the primary focus.
Wanda Coleman holds degrees from UNC-G in Dance Education and Meredith College in Business Management. Mrs. Coleman worked with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System as a dance educator and curriculum writer. As part of the Basic Education Plan of North Carolina, she developed the dance program and taught for Clinton City Schools. In 1991, The Dance Shoppe was established and continues a strong focus on developing the "whole child" through the art of dance.
Mrs. Coleman has studied with Sue Stinson, Ron Paul, Cathy Roe, Debbi Dee, Niall O'Leary, Bill De Ricco, Jo Rowan, Chuck Davis, Nancy Heath and Ann Fowler just to name a few. She views every student as a gift and continues to learn from them each and every day!
